Previous solution

COP previously relied on a legacy Avaya system in their offices, which posed significant limitations to their operations. The outdated system restricted essential functions such as making offshore calls, seamless call transfers, and efficient telephony processes – all of which hindered their ability to deliver the best possible service to their customers.

Recognising the need for a modern solution, IT Manager Layton Stocks turned to Solutions Architect Paul Bate, with whom he has maintained a trusted professional relationship for over 10 years. Layton expressed the company’s desire to transition from traditional desk phones to internet-connected desktop headsets, marking a pivotal step into the digital age. Their goal was clear: implement a robust system that not only empowered staff to work more efficiently and productively but also reinforced their commitment to delivering secure and reliable services to their customers.

What we did

Following initial consultations, Solutions Architect Paul Bate implemented a hosted 3CX system for COP, leveraging our resilient data centre. This ensured that COP remained online and available at all times — an essential requirement for their business, where downtime is simply not an option. To enhance flexibility and support remote working, we installed a substantial number of high-spec wireless headsets, enabling staff to work seamlessly from the office or remotely.

The new system also provided offshore employees with UK numbers at no additional cost, significantly reducing expenses while equipping the team with advanced tools to future-proof their operations. This transformation not only improved COP’s operational efficiency but also positioned them to deliver more reliable and responsive service to their customers.
